Want to Know How Google Works?

Very clever people are around. You could write this information out and it would not have as much impact. As they say. a picture is worth a thousand words. Are you using copyright-free content?

An exploding issue in the online world is the use of material which is protected. All original material is protected by copyright law.  Yet people fail to pay heed to that and blindly re-use information and images.

Similarly, if you are repurposing content written by others for which you have rights to use, you need to make sure that it is not a blind copy, or face the consequences from search engines who will either slap you or not reward you for lack of originality.

Here is a list of tools which can help you with both of these scenarios. Most if not all cost nothing to use.

Get Better Ranking in YouTube: SEO Trick

Here’s a really cool technique to increase the chance of getting your YouTube videos to page one in Google. I’ve heard of this method before but now the steps are clear in this video:

        1. choose a four-word keyword phrase that has thousands of searches
        2. make a short 2-3 minute video on the topic with a call to action to go to your website
        3. upload the video to YouTube
        4. do something special with the title, description and tags
        5. add some more seo, get likes, shares, ping etc
        6. sit back and see if it works!

        My notes from the vid:

        • Title – up to maximum of 12 words in title. Use the 4-word keyword phrase AND 3 word keyword phrase repeating 3 of the 4 words AND another 3 word keyword phrase repeating 3 other of the 4 keywords . Example BEST JALAPENO CHILLI RECIPES – BEST CHILLI RECIPES – BEST JALAPENO RECIPES
        • When producing your video, include Captions and Callouts –Read More »Get Better Ranking in YouTube: SEO Trick

          Incoming Search Terms

I had started to see this reference on blogs to “incoming search terms” and wondered what plugin people were using. Finally I checked it out in Google and found a guy who had done the same. He found premium products but discovered a tool called SEO Search Tagging 2 on the wordpress site. I installed it and then thought “what’s the best way to configure this little puppy?”. Voila, Auntie Google answered by popping up this blog… http://mytechquest.com/blogging/how-to-show-incoming-search-terms-for-every-blog-posts-in-wordpress/ Thanks, Steve Yu!

            Remove Search-Conduit in FireFox

I installed a program a while ago and since then, my search function in FireFox had been hijacked. All searches from the toolbar are wrapped up in a site search.conduit.com which is incredibly annoying. It does not perform well as a search tool and it tracks everything you do, like most search tools. I have a suspicion either Vuze or PDF Creator may have been the culprits. There’s little info about how to remove search conduit. I found a dead-easy way to do it that seems to have worked. Want the solution?
