I love simplicity.The concept of a blog is simple.<\/p>\n

Some idea or topic or event stimulates your thinking.<\/p>\n

You put your thoughts ‘out there’ and you’ve posted a blog entry.<\/p>\n

Yet writing a blog, consistently, seems to be anything but simple.<\/p>\n

I’ve come across a\u00a0lot\u00a0of ideas for making the task easier and this is one of those “keeper” ideas from Victoria Pinchon<\/a>\u00a0(Forbes magazine)<\/p>\n<\/hgroup>\n<\/div>\n

Victoria espouses a routine process for being able to be such a prolific blogger. Here is her plan:<\/p>\n

1. Work out what you want to blog about<\/strong> – a keyword phrase or topic if you will.<\/p>\n

2. Plug that phrase into your search<\/strong> engine of choice. You can filter your search by only choosing blogs or news items or restricting the recency to the last week, last month etc.<\/p>\n

3. As you cruise the search results,\u00a0something\u00a0will catch your eye<\/strong>. It might be a statement or an idea. \u00a0Now you can start writing …<\/p>\n

4. Take that ‘discovery’ and in less than 200 words work out what the problem is<\/strong> for your readers. (Ideally this relates to a solution your product or service can provide).<\/p>\n

5. Segue the problem into a solution you can offer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

6. Finish your post with a call to action<\/strong> – take this e-course, read this other article, buy this product, whatever.<\/p>\n

7. Add an image<\/strong> (make sure you use it legitimately)<\/p>\n

8. Add tags<\/strong> to your post that relate to your keywords and article<\/p>\n

9. Set your publish date<\/p>\n

10. Publish!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
