Reason is, it&#8217;s true. I recall when I was looking to sell my business a few years ago that the only thing people were interested in before anything else was the size and quality of my database. Why? Because that is whom you market to: it&#8217;s where your money comes from. Do a survey \u2013 ask them what they want to read<br \/>\n\u2022 Review your stats \u2013 what have people viewed most on your site?<br \/>\n\u2022 Subscribe to successful competitor sites and see what they write about for some ideas<\/li>\n<li><strong>Let Them Join<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 How many subscription boxes are on your sites? Think about where best to put them but have more than one lonely one!<br \/>\n\u2022 Sidebar<br \/>\n\u2022 Footer\/header<br \/>\n\u2022 In the middle\/end\/beginning of a post<br \/>\n\u2022 Pop up as they leave<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pop ups<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 They can be annoying but they are still effective ways to get people on your list<br \/>\n\u2022 Entrance pop<br \/>\n\u2022 Click pop<br \/>\n\u2022 Exit pop<\/li>\n<li><strong>Entice People<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Offer something of value to them in exchange for a subscription\u2022 More than just \u201csubscribe to my newsletter\u201d<br \/>\n\u2022 Create a unique free offer that shows how good your future communication will be<br \/>\n\u2022 Can you offer past issues of a newsletter or a chapter of a book or something similar?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Viral eBook<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 A standard e-book may cut it<br \/>\n\u2022 Better yet create a solid product that people will think \u201cwow\u201d \u2013 a compilation of your past best blog posts, a set of interviews you\u2019ve had with industry leaders, think larger than usual.<br \/>\n\u2022 People may even be prepared to buy it.<br \/>\n\u2022 Promote the big offer to other marketers for their clients<\/li>\n<li><strong>Write Articles<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 First create a product eg an email series of e-classes<br \/>\n\u2022 Then write an article about the topic of the classes<br \/>\n\u2022 Put a link and offer in your author bio in the article<br \/>\n\u2022 Submit to directories, other blogs, document sites<\/li>\n<li><strong>Create Sales Page<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Practice your copywriting<br \/>\n\u2022 Create a sales page for your newsletter or email tip series or whatever you provide people who sign up<br \/>\n\u2022 Make it sound like a product<br \/>\n\u2022 Offer them to receive it for free<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<blockquote><p><em>Like these tips?
