Usually it will be a blog post and maybe I\u2019ll then repurpose that as a tweet or a Facebook post and perhaps a graphic for Pinterest.<\/p>\n<p>My reflection also made me realise I\u2019d abandoned my editorial calendar and had taken to spontaneous posting both in terms of content and timing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/redhotinternetmarketing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/20140113-173233.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"doasidonotasisay\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"repurpose content - redhotinternetmarketing.com\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/redhotinternetmarketing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/20140113-173233.jpg?resize=244%2C244\" width=\"244\" height=\"244\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Not clever.<\/p>\n<p>Not recommended.<\/p>\n<p>Dumb.<\/p>\n<p>So, I am starting to think about <img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-angel\" style=\"border-top-style: none; border-bottom-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-left-style: none\" alt=\"Angel\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/redhotinternetmarketing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/wlEmoticon-angel.png?w=1200\"> reinstituting my editorial calendar as well as building into it a repurposing checklist. Of course, I won\u2019t just think about it, I will schedule in to do it \u2026 soon!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--> <\/p>\n<p>Why bother repurposing?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>different people have different ways of taking in information \u2013 most are visual but many are aurally inclined\n<li>it gives me more content to spray around the net for link juice and authority building\n<li>I can recycle the same content in different ways over a period then I can use the spare time to create fresh product\n<li>it allows me to brand the distributables just in case they go viral (I wish!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I\u2019m thinking of some tips that I recently produced. I\u2019m going to glean through my website and see if there are any others I can add to it to make it a \u201cBest Of\u201d post and an eBook for lead generation. I can then extract one tip a day or week and use each as a separate blog post by expanding on that tip. I can convert each into a graphic and use them as posts.&nbsp; Producing a short video for each tip and a longer one for all tips would be good. Then I can strip out the audio and podcast those or load them on the blog. I can find some famous quotes to support the tips.
