In a forum a colleague posted a reference to a website, and that article had a link to a post in forbes.com discussing the Hummingbird update.
It made it pretty clear that well-written, relevant and original content is what Google is reinforcing as important to their audience. No change from what has been recommended for many years.
More importantly, the Forbes article drew logical inferences from Google’s actions. It is looking to reference sites and content that implies authority.
